God, the greatest giver
The Father gave His only Son, who in turn gave His life, so that we could be reconciled to God and enter into a relationship with Him.
Our giving reflects the character and nature of God. It is also a response to the gospel, which is why our giving is an act of worship.
As everything we have has been given to us by God, we should think of ourselves as stewards rather than owners. This realization frees us from being ruled by material things and allows us to joyfully and willingly give back to Jesus by supporting His church, which He uniquely commissioned to carry out His work in the world.
We believe scripture teaches followers of Jesus to give regularly, generously, sacrificially, and cheerfully.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
