DISCUSS

There are so many good lessons in this story.

  • The woman had been sick for 12 years and no doctors could help her. She must have been very sad and without hope that she would ever be well.

  • The sick woman had so much faith in Jesus’ power to heal that she knew all she needed to do was to touch his clothing. She fought her way through the crowd just to touch him.

  • The woman was healed just by touching Jesus’ robe! What?! Can you believe that?

  • Right now, there are sick people all around the world. The doctors can’t find a cure, but Jesus can heal!

Games

  • Band-Aid Seek and Pray: Hide band-aids all around the house. For every band-aid found, have them pray for someone to be healed.

  • Just a Touch Chase: Have them chase you around the house as a “sick person” trying to touch a piece of your clothing. To make it easier, you may tie a blanket to your neck like a robe or just put on a robe.
