Ryan Smith - Teaching Pastor

Ryan’s greatest passion is helping people in an urban, progressive context understand and love the Bible as they see its beauty, complexity, relevancy, and fulfillment in Jesus and his Kingdom.

Born to a faithful christian family, Ryan came to know Jesus through the discipleship of his parents and the local church.

He got his Bachelor’s degree in Bible & Theology from Evangel University and his Master’s degree in Biblical & Theological Studies through Western Seminary.

Ryan has served with several churches around the country in a variety of cultural and theological contexts. Prior to joining the Collective Church family, he spent 5 years leading ministries, teaching, and preaching at a church in Reno.

Ryan and his wife Erin have been married since 2012, and have a daughter and a son.
