Dylan's Collective Story

I moved to California to attend college, leaving behind the comforts of home in Texas for a place that was new, exciting, and unfamiliar. Los Angeles is by no means an irreligious city, but the spiritual pressures here are quite unlike the more Christian-cultured environment I knew in Houston, Texas.

Though life in LA can be challenging, and there have certainly been hard times, I thank God for placing me here. Through those seasons, He has strengthened my faith and drawn me closer to Him.

In those hard seasons, I am thankful to be part of Collective Church. In a city where people can often feel unseen, Collective was quick to welcome me as family through our Neighborhood Dinners.

I see evidence of the Spirit moving among the people of Collective Church, especially at our Draw Near nights, as we worship and pray in both good and difficult seasons.

I appreciate how Collective does not shy away from calling me to be wholehearted in my faith and to keep growing as a disciple of Jesus.

The last few years with Collective Church have been a blessing. Through this community, God has reminded me of the joy of being in relationship with other believers. I love this family, and I’m excited to see how Jesus continues His work through us on the Westside.
