Nicole's Collective Story
Having lived in greater Los Angeles for nearly a decade, I've often struggled with the city's transient nature.
Los Angeles can feel like a place where people come temporarily, chasing dreams or pursuing success, but rarely commit to deep, lasting relationships or rooted Christ-centered community. In a city where trends, consumerism, and the pursuit of popularity can easily sway us, it can be difficult to find stability or a committed church community.
That's why I’m so grateful for Collective Church. In the midst of all the shifting and chasing that defines this city, Collective has been a refuge of consistency, offering a steadfast and shared commitment to following Jesus.
The people here are truly focused on seeing God’s will done in Los Angeles, not just for personal gain, but for the flourishing of this city and those in it.
I’m often struck by the generosity, support, and care offered by the members of Collective which continually feels counter-cultural in our individualist society. I've been deeply moved by the way this community shows up for each other in big and little ways.
I appreciate the accountability and discipleship I’ve experienced through discipleship groups, edification from the pastors, and deep friendships fostered within the Church. The people at Collective encourage me to be more intentional in my walk with God, keep in step with the Spirit, and share the Good News of the gospel with the next generation.
In many ways, Collective Church has helped me see more of Jesus in a city that can often feel like it's all about striving toward the next big thing. Here, I’ve found a community committed to something far more enduring and meaningful—walking faithfully together in the pursuit of God's kingdom and letting Him invade all parts of our lives.
