Victoria's Collective Story
In January 2022, I moved to Los Angeles for graduate school after living in Texas for almost 7 years. Despite relocating once before, I was nervous to leave my tight-knit crew in Dallas and enter into the uncertainty of living in a new city.
Thankfully, I was introduced to Collective Church early on and was warmly welcomed and embraced from the beginning. The people of Collective Church feel not only like good friends, but truly like spiritual family.
I’ve gotten to see the early church modeled up close, with members of Collective Church devoting themselves to teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42). Whether it be during our Sunday gatherings, weekly Discipleship Groups, bi-weekly Neighborhood Dinners, or monthly prayer nights, I am consistently encouraged and see how God uses these rhythms to deepen my faith.
As relational beings created by a relational God, we were not made to do this life alone. We are greatly enriched when we walk intentionally and authentically with others, so it has been such a gift to do this alongside fellow believers and grow closer to the Lord, individually and as a community.
I am incredibly grateful for my spiritual brothers and sisters at Collective Church and cannot wait to see all God continues to do in and through us.
